Welcome to the "Bethel Travels to Tanzania" blog. This will keep our group in good communication for the journey to come but also allow anyone from Bethel Lutheran Church, Rochester, MN to keep up on the status of our trip. It is also a means for travelers' friends and family to learn what is happening as we prepare to go and once we are in Tanzania. My hope is that we might be able to blog about our experiences from day to day once we arrive!
First things first... here are the dates that we are traveling! We have just booked our tickets through FlyForGood and appreciate a discount they give to groups traveling for service work! Bethel's trip to Tanzania is scheduled for Thursday, May 19th through Sunday, June 5th. An 18 day experience that I know we are all awaiting with excitement! What a privilege and joy to travel and serve! Thanks be to God for this opportunity!
Next steps... aqcuiring our group visas, immunizations, serving a Lenten mid-week dinner to raise funds.
